Vintage and Sterling Rosaries

Heavy Sterling crucifix, both cross and center are marked sterling. Crucifix is 2" including the bail. Beads are a lovely aqua blue, a remarkable color, much richer than other blues I have seen. They appear to be hand cut as there are small irregularities in the size of the facets The silver is tarnished with age but I prefer a vintage or antique rosary to look aged so I rarely clean the silver. You of course may gently clean the rosary if you prefer or let it polish from use. I am not sure but the links appear to be silver, I don't know though. Rosary measures 18" but because of the heft of the crucifix it seems larger. As with all rosaries on my site, unless otherwise noted, this rosary has all 59 beads.

Big, 30+ inch classic glow in the dark rosary from the mid-20th century. These are so great- hang it by the bed and when the lights are turned off at night, it will glow. Note- one bead has what looks like a chip- on close inspection it looks like it may have been an original manufacturing flaw, as the edges are smooth. The bead is stable. Bargain priced! Sweet little amber faceted lucite locket with a white metal cover featuring St Theresa. Inside is a tiny rosary with amber and white glass beads. Mid-20th century tiny treasure! The locket measures 1 1/4" and the little clasp is good and tight. Would make a lovely necklace.

Green rosaries are not terribly common. This one has a gorgeous Miraculous Medal style center. Marked Sterling on center and Sterling DiRoma on the crucifix. 21" long and sturdy enough for daily use. I do not usually clean silver, I leave it to the buyer so this one is dark but will shine beautifully if you so choose.

Absolutely amazing, marked Sterling on Crucifix and Center! I am unsure if the fancy encasing is also sterling. Glass beads seem to have a hint of pink/peach to them. Large and heavy rosary. 22" long laid flat. Just a fabulous rosary- so incredible to look at! The encased bead rosaries are a little awkward to use- the casing is a bit rough - once you get used to them this isn't a problem though. A fabulous collector rosary.
