Antique Rosaries 33

What an incredible antique rosary! I have never seen another like it. From the over 2 1/2" brass cross with tiny angel faces on the tips to the 12 extra medals on either side of the Pater beads- this is a real treasure! Each little medal has the Grotto at Lourdes on one side and a Victorian child's angel face on the other- with the exception of the very first medal above the crucifix that has Jesus on it. The reverse of the crucifix says "Souvenir de la Mission," these crucifixes were typical of the 1800s from a pilgrimage to a holy site. The beads are a opalescent butter cream glass, rather unusual in the way they reflect light. This is a very large rosary at 26" in length when laid flat. It is not terribly heavy though. Due to its age and the delicacy of the wires, I would not recommend this for daily use- although it could use some prayer. This is more a display or collector piece than a daily use rosary.

Very nice French rosary with Art Deco styling, mother of pearl beads and white enamel accents. A nice, elegant rosary that could easily be used for daily prayer. Measures over 15" when laid flat- the perfect rosary to take with you in a small pouch or tiny box. This rosary does show some signs of use- the gold plating on the crucifix is a bit worn and the beads are a little dirty.

Lovely antique or vintage rosary with very interesting light blue Czech glass beads, each one with the face of Jesus- a bit difficult to see but it is there. The beautiful Pardon Crucifix adds an elegance to this lovely old rosary. 18" in length when laid flat. Please note that this rosary has four decades rather than five.

The lower right bead is the easiest to see the Face of Jesus.
